Floor Sanding Bromley

After we had taken care of a few repairs on these boards in Bromley, we set about sanding. It was a great pleasure removing the worn paint and getting these floorboards nice and flat again. Finally the floor was finished with White 2k Oil. This project started out like many floorboard jobs we carry out -with lots of repairs!

Once we were satisfied with the new (but old) reclaimed boards, we set about replacing the damaged boards. Once complete, the floors were sanded nice and flat in preparation for the next phase: Gap Filling.

We applied our method of dark, acrylic mastic for the gaps in-between.  Once cured, it was back to more sanding to remove the excess and then onto buffing to get them ready for staining.

The chosen stain our client went for was Kenilworth Oak by Fiddes (a very subtle but great stain).

After the stain was fully dry, we finished the boards with three coats of ultra-matt lacquer.
