We were instructed to remove several layers of thick grey paint that had built up over time, masking the original timber beneath. This required a more intensive sanding process to strip the surface back while carefully levelling the boards.

Once the paint had been fully removed, gaps between the boards were filled using an acrylic resin system and left to cure overnight before sanding continued. This helped improve the overall finish while allowing for natural movement in the floor.

The floor was then sealed with three coats of Loba Supra 2K lacquer, providing a hard-wearing, low-maintenance finish well suited to a busy household. The completed floor now has a clean, even appearance with significantly improved durability.
