This parquet floor sanding and restoration project in South London involved carefully restoring a fumed herringbone floor that had begun to show signs of wear after many years in use. The objective was to refresh the surface while preserving the distinctive fumed character of the timber.

The existing Junckers beach-style timber floor was showing signs of wear, so over a couple of long days we carefully sanded and buffed the surface to remove old coatings and bring the timber back to life. Once prepared, we applied a professional primer, followed by two coats of Loba Supra Finish using a T-bar applicator to ensure even coverage and a durable protective surface.

On the main stage area, we later returned to carry out the same sanding process and introduced an anti-slip additive in the final coat for extra safety where foot traffic is highest. We now also maintain these hall floors annually to preserve their finish and performance year-round. This project highlights our expertise in sanding, finishing and long-term floor care for larger community spaces.
