Another interesting project we were involved in this stunning Solid Oak, Quarter-sawn, Parquet floor.
Our client wanted to obtain a similar look to another area of the house, so after applying samples, Treatex Ultra in Ebony was the desired finish.
The floor initially had a cork inlay around the perimeter -which our client wasn’t too keen on. After assessing the expansion gap around the outside, we were happy there was enough to safely remove the cork without causing any issues further down the line. Once removed, the gap was filled with Morrells 2-part Filler in Dark Oak, to create a border effect and add durability.
The floors were then sanded again, mass filled and finished with Treatex Ultra Colour Tones, followed by clear coats of Treatex Ultra Hardwax Oil.
