The main issue with this floor was uneven colouring caused by a large rug, which had prevented the timber from ageing evenly. To resolve this, the entire floor was sanded back to bare wood, removing residue and restoring a uniform surface across the room.

The client was keen to retain the most natural appearance possible, without the risk of yellowing over time. For this reason, the floor was finished with Blanchon Environment in a Bare Timber look, applied in three coats to provide both durability and a clean, understated finish. The result was a beautifully consistent floor that retained the natural character of the oak while offering long-term protection.
