Pine floor sanding and commercial lacquer finish in West Malling
For this West Malling floor sanding project, the original pine boards were sanded back to remove years of wear and surface damage.
Gap filling was carried out across the entire floor to improve both appearance and stability before the final sanding stages. Once fully prepared, the floor was sealed with one coat of Junckers Prelak, followed by two coats of Junckers HP Commercial in a silk matt finish.
This system provided a hard-wearing, low-sheen result well suited to a large property while preserving the character of the original pine flooring.
Why professional floor sanding matters
Correct preparation and finishing play a vital role in the longevity, appearance and safety of timber floors. Professional sanding techniques help achieve a level, consistent surface, while the correct finishing system protects the timber from wear and ongoing maintenance issues.
In larger or high-use spaces, careful product selection and application methods are especially important to ensure durability and safe performance over time.
